If you’re looking for a different way to celebrate New Year’s Eve this year, leave the cold weather behind and get ready to welcome the New Year by the ocean, surrounded by new friends.
From golden beaches and volcanic landscapes to colorful villages, from hiking around Roque Nublo to sailing along the coast on a catamaran: this 6-day, 5-night group trip to Gran Canaria combines nature, fun, local culture and plenty of time to relax.
On the night of December 31, we’ll celebrate together with a special New Year’s Eve dinner among friends, followed by the Spanish tradition of eating twelve grapes at midnight, a New Year’s toast, fireworks over the ocean and a night out in the lively atmosphere of Las Palmas. 🎆
This trip is especially designed for solo travelers who want to meet new people while exploring the island as part of a small international group of no more than 5 participants.
☀️ New Year’s Eve in the sunshine: While much of Europe is in the middle of winter, Gran Canaria offers mild temperatures, sunny days and the chance to start the New Year with a walk along the beach.
🥂 An authentic New Year’s Eve experience in the Canary Islands: This is more than just a holiday. We’ll celebrate like locals with dinner among friends, the traditional twelve grapes at midnight, a New Year’s toast, fireworks by the ocean and a night out in Las Palmas.
⛵ Unique experiences between ocean and nature: We’ll sail along the southern coast of the island on a catamaran, explore the Maspalomas Dunes, discover the volcanic landscapes around Roque Nublo and taste locally grown coffee in the Agaete Valley.
🌍 A small multicultural group: Traveling solo? No problem! This won’t be a typical organized tour. Instead, you’ll be part of a small group of travelers from different countries. We’ll speak Italian, Spanish and English, creating an international, spontaneous and welcoming atmosphere.
With a maximum of 5 participants, it’s easy to get to know each other, share experiences and make new friends along the way.

Welcome to Gran Canaria! Arrival at Gran Canaria Airport (LPA) and transfer to our accommodation in Las Palmas.
After check-in and some time to get ready, we’ll meet for a special New Year’s Eve dinner among friends, included in the package. It will be our first moment together and the perfect opportunity to get to know each other and start the trip in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
Before midnight, we’ll head towards Las Canteras, where we’ll welcome the New Year together by the ocean and watch the fireworks. Afterwards, we’ll continue celebrating with music, concerts and events around Las Canteras and Santa Catalina. 🎆🎶
*The final location for the New Year’s Eve celebrations will be confirmed according to the official event program. To join the dinner and celebrations, we recommend choosing a flight that arrives in Gran Canaria by 4:00 PM on December 31.
After the previous night’s celebrations, we’ll take it easy in the morning and set off later in the day to explore the mountainous heart of Gran Canaria.
We’ll visit Teror, one of the island’s most traditional villages, before continuing to Tejeda, a picturesque mountain village surrounded by spectacular volcanic landscapes.
In the afternoon, we’ll reach the Roque Nublo area, home to one of Gran Canaria’s most iconic natural landmarks. Depending on the weather conditions and the group’s energy levels, we can either enjoy the panoramic hike (included) or admire the scenery and sunset from one of the island’s most beautiful viewpoints.
In the evening, we’ll return to Las Palmas, where we can have a quick and easy dinner (not included) at the B&B before getting some rest and recharging for the next day.
Get ready for a day filled with beaches, spectacular scenery and the ocean!
In the morning, we’ll head to the south of Gran Canaria to visit the iconic Maspalomas Dunes. We’ll walk through the golden dunes path and enjoy one of the island’s most impressive landscapes.
We’ll then have time to stop at Anfi del Mar, where we can relax on the beach, or visit Puerto de Mogán, known for its whitewashed houses, canals and charming atmosphere. The final choice will depend on the timing and organization of the day.
In the afternoon, we’ll board a catamaran for a cruise along Gran Canaria’s spectacular coastline, enjoying the sunset from the ocean. On board, we’ll have time to relax, listen to music, soak up the sun and snorkel in the Atlantic Ocean. The experience includes a swimming stop, food and drinks. 🌅
Today we’ll explore the north of Gran Canaria, one of the island’s greenest and most authentic areas.
Our first stop will be Gáldar, the ancient capital of the island, where we’ll visit the Cueva Pintada Museum and Archaeological Park (entrance included). During the guided visit, we’ll learn more about the history and culture of Gran Canaria’s indigenous inhabitants.
We’ll then continue to the Agaete Valley to visit the only coffee plantation in Europe. The guided visit and tasting of locally grown coffee and other local products are included.
We’ll finish the day in Puerto de las Nieves, a picturesque fishing village overlooking the ocean, where we can take a walk and enjoy the sunset.
After exploring some of the island’s most beautiful places together, you’ll have a free day to enjoy Gran Canaria at your own pace and according to your interests.
You can spend more time by the ocean, relax on Las Canteras Beach or choose an additional experience.
