A Christmas Special Edition designed to experience the British capital during the most magical time of the year, surrounded by lights, Christmas markets, spectacular window displays and iconic landmarks. An itinerary that is different from our spring and summer editions, perfect both for first-time visitors and for those who want to rediscover London wrapped in its festive atmosphere.
We will stay in a centrally located hotel near London Bridge and Borough Market. You will explore the city like a local, without having to worry about the crowds, the Underground or getting around: we take care of everything, so all you have to do is enjoy London one step at a time.

Welcome to London! ✈️🇬🇧
Arrival at London Luton Airport, where the My Friend In trip leader will meet the group so that we can begin our adventure together. If you arrive at a different airport, we can still arrange a transfer; depending on your arrival time, we will either meet you at your arrival station in central London or directly at the hotel, as the host will be coming from Luton.
We will travel t to our ibis Styles hotel, centrally located just a short walk from Borough Market, London Bridge and the River Thames.
After checking in, and depending on our actual arrival time, we will take our first walk around the hotel area and begin soaking up the city’s atmosphere.
Free time for dinner nearby, followed by a return to the hotel to rest and start the trip full of energy ✨
After breakfast, we will begin our tour from the majestic St Paul’s Cathedral before continuing to the charming Leadenhall Market, made even more beautiful by its Christmas decorations.
We will then head up one of London’s panoramic skyscrapers, such as Sky Garden or Horizon 22, to admire the city from above. In the afternoon, we will reach the Tower of London and cross the iconic Tower Bridge, with plenty of time to take photos and enjoy the views 📸
From there, we will walk back towards the hotel along the River Thames, passing the lights and festive stalls of the Winter by the River Christmas market before reaching London Bridge and Borough Market.
Free time for dinner at Borough Market or at one of the nearby restaurants, followed by a return to the hotel.
After breakfast, we will make our way to Buckingham Palace to watch the Sunday Changing of the Guard ceremony, subject to the official schedule and weather conditions.
We will then continue to the Natural History Museum, one of London’s most fascinating museums, where we will have time to explore its most important galleries before stopping for lunch at our leisure.
In the afternoon, we will head to Notting Hill and stroll along colourful Portobello Road, passing cafés, antique stalls and locations made famous by the cinema. We will then return towards Mayfair to admire the spectacular façade of Annabel’s, which surprises the city with a new festive display every Christmas.
We will end the day with dinner at our leisure at Mercato Mayfair, a unique international food market housed inside the former St Mark’s Church.
After breakfast, we will begin the day at Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster, two of London’s most recognisable landmarks.
We will continue to Trafalgar Square, where the famous Christmas tree donated by the city of Oslo is displayed every year, before heading to Covent Garden, with its enormous Christmas tree, sparkling decorations and elegant covered market.
Our walk will continue through Leicester Square, Chinatown and Piccadilly Circus. We will then visit the new official Harry Potter flagship store on Oxford Street before continuing beneath the lights of Carnaby Street, past the historic Liberty London building and through Regent Street’s famous Christmas displays.
In the late afternoon, we will enter Winter Wonderland, London’s huge Christmas village, where we will spend several hours surrounded by festive markets, lights, music, food stalls and attractions.
Free time for dinner inside Winter Wonderland, followed by a return to the hotel.
Breakfast and check-out from the hotel.
As the return flights are scheduled between 12pm and 1pm, we will arrange the airport transfers in the morning, allowing plenty of time to complete security checks and boarding procedures without rushing.
The trip may be over… but the memories and new friendships made beneath the Christmas lights will remain 💛🎄
