Halloween Trip to Transylvania: Brașov, Sighișoara & Dracula’s Castle


 

Experience a different kind of Halloween among medieval walls, cobblestone lanes and legendary castles.

We’ll be based in Brașov, with a day trip to Sighișoara and a tour of the Peleș–Cantacuzino–Bran castles — with the chance to spend the spookiest night of the year inside Bran Castle (better known as Count Dracula’s 🧛‍♂️ home). Multicultural, friendly and authentic, with plenty of free time to soak it all in!

Halloween where the legend began: a small-group trip through Transylvania with Brașov as your base, an excursion to UNESCO-listed Sighișoara and the castle trilogy of Peleș–Cantacuzino–Bran.

🗺️ Detailed itinerary

📅 Thursday 30 Oct – Arrival → Brașov
Land in Bucharest (OTP) and take our shared transfer to Brașov, winding through autumn valleys and forests. Check into a central hotel, then head out for dinner together and a first stroll around Council Square, the Black Church and the medieval streets already buzzing with Halloween vibes.

📅 Friday 31 Oct – Sighișoara + Halloween night in Brașov (optional)
Morning transfer to Sighișoara: climb the Clock Tower, wander among colourful houses and enjoy a leisurely lunch. Depart around 16:00 to reach Brașov by 18:00—time for a shower, a touch of spooky make-up and dinner out. Anyone keen can keep the night going in bars or clubs; the city is especially lively tonight.

📅 Saturday 1 Nov – Three castles + Halloween Party in Bran
Start in Sinaia before the elegant Peleș (exterior visit, interior optional). Continue to Cantacuzino—entry included and perfect “Wednesday”-style photo spots. In the afternoon arrive at Bran and enter the castle (ticket included). After dark, guests on the €520 party package enjoy the Bran Halloween Party with round-trip Uber from Brașov, while others can choose a calmer evening in taverns and lantern-lit streets.

📅 Sunday 2 Nov – Return or extra night
Early flights take the return transfer to OTP. If you choose the €550 extra-night option, enjoy a free morning in Brașov, then we drive you to an airport-area hotel (OTP) in the afternoon for a good rest before flying.

🕒 Timing: We’ll confirm exact airport pick-up/drop-off windows, visits & tickets (especially around Halloween) to avoid queues and optimise time.
🍂🌡️ Weather: Autumn/chilly (approx. 5–15 °C). Pack a jacket/coat, comfy shoes and a light rain layer.
💳💰 Currency: Romanian leu (RON). Cards accepted in most places; bring some cash for markets/small purchases.
🗣️ Languages: We’ll speak Spanish, Italian and English.
🔄 Flexibility: The itinerary may change due to traffic, weather or capacity limits. We’ll always choose the best alternative for the group.
✈️ Limited spots: Trip guaranteed with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 13 participants for an intimate, personalised experience.

Travelling for Gran Canaria and choosing My Friend In was one of the best decisions for our holidays . A wonderful experience thanks to the knowledge and organization of My friend in which led us to discover wonderful places such as Anfi del Mar, the Maspalomas Dunes, Mogan, Las Palmas and many others.
