PERU JUNE 2026: DESERTS, ANDES & MACHU PICCHU

📌 3rd of June – Welcome to Peru!
Arrival in Lima, airport pickup and transfer to the hotel in the lively district of Miraflores. You’ll have time to relax or start exploring the Peruvian capital: take a walk along the Malecón, try the local cuisine, or visit the artistic neighborhood of Barranco.

📌 4th of June – From Lima to the Desert: Ballestas Islands & Huacachina
Early morning departure for Paracas, where we’ll board a boat excursion to the spectacular Ballestas Islands, known as the “Galápagos of Peru.” We’ll see sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and a great variety of marine birds.
In the afternoon, we’ll head to the Huacachina desert, where a magical night under the stars awaits in a twin tent-room. You can try sandboarding or a thrilling buggy ride across the dunes (optional activities).

📌 5th of June – Nazca Lines & Night Bus to Arequipa
In the morning, optional flight (extra) over the mysterious Nazca Lines — the giant figures carved into the desert that still fascinate archaeologists and travelers today.
The rest of the day is free to relax or explore Nazca before taking the comfortable night bus to Arequipa.

📌 6th of June – Relax & Discover Arequipa
Arrival in Arequipa around 5:00 a.m. Morning free tour of the city. After hotel check-in, you can rest or continue exploring this beautiful colonial city known as “The White City,” and enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the surrounding volcanoes.

📌 7th of June – Lake Titicaca & Floating Islands
Departure at 5:45 a.m. for Puno, crossing the Andean highlands. Along the way, we’ll admire stunning scenery filled with volcanoes and pastures.
Upon arrival, a guided visit to the floating Uros Islands awaits — entirely built with totora reeds. One of the most fascinating cultures in Peru!

📌 8th of June – Across the Andes: From Puno to Cusco
At 10:00 a.m., departure by panoramic bus to Cusco, crossing high plains, valleys, and rural villages. Along the route, we’ll enjoy spectacular Andean landscapes.
Arrival around 6:30 p.m. and check-in at a centrally located hotel.

📌 9th of June – Free Day in Cusco
A day at leisure to explore the city at your own pace. You can go shopping at local markets, relax with an Andean massage, or simply stroll through the charming colonial streets and soak in Cusco’s magical atmosphere.

📌 10th of June – Rainbow Mountain
Early morning departure for the famous Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca). After the bus transfer to the starting point, we’ll begin our hike (moderate level, with the option to rent a horse). The view from the top offers breathtaking, unforgettable landscapes.
🍽 Lunch included.

📌 11th of June – Scenic Train to Machu Picchu
Departure at sunrise aboard a panoramic train through the Urubamba Valley — a spectacular route between mountains and subtropical jungle. We’ll arrive in Aguas Calientes (around 8:00 a.m.), the village at the foot of the archaeological site. Here you can queue to upgrade to Circuit 2 of the citadel by purchasing one of the 1000 same-day tickets available (limited spots).
The rest of the day is free to explore the town, relax in the hot springs, or walk along the river.

📌 12th of June – Machu Picchu: The Dream Comes True
At dawn, we’ll enter Machu Picchu with Circuit 1 – Lower Terrace, the most iconic panoramic viewpoint from which the postcard photos are taken. After the guided visit, we’ll enjoy the unique experience of hiking Machu Picchu Mountain (medium-high difficulty), offering breathtaking views of the site and surrounding Andes.
In the afternoon, return to Cusco by train and bus.

📌 13th of June – Sacred Valley of the Incas
Today we’ll visit the fascinating Sacred Valley: the Pisac market, its agricultural terraces, and the ruins of Ollantaytambo — among the most iconic sites of the Inca Empire.
🍽 Lunch included in a local restaurant.

📌 14th of June – Return to Lima
Morning flight to Lima (not included). In the afternoon, we can visit the historic center, the Park of Love, or enjoy a sunset walk along the seafront.

📌 15th of June – Guided Visits in Lima
We’ll make the most of our last day in Lima, discovering more of this wonderful city and its cuisine through two free tours: one in the old town and another in Barranco, famous for its murals. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner together, sharing memories and savoring once again the best of Peruvian food.

📌 16th of June (arrival in Europe the next day, 17th of June) – End of the Trip & Return Flight
Depending on your flight time, you’ll have time for a final breakfast with the group. Transfer to the airport and… ¡hasta pronto, Perú! 🇵🇪✈️
