📅 August 13: Arrival in Gran Canaria and check-in at our accommodation in Las Palmas. In the afternoon, we’ll start exploring the city and the Las Canteras area, followed by our first group dinner.
📅 August 14-15: Participation in 15-August celebrations. In the morning, you can relax at the beautiful Las Canteras beach or explore the historic district of Vegueta, home to the Christopher Columbus museum, and learn more about the history of the archipelago. In the afternoon, we’ll take part in local festivals happening across the island.
📅 August 16: We’ll begin exploring the island by heading south, starting with the “Little Venice” of Gran Canaria—Mogán. Then we’ll visit the paradise beach of Anfi del Mar and one of the most iconic places on the island: the Maspalomas Dunes.
📅 August 17: Excursion to the summit (“la cumbre”) of Gran Canaria, where we’ll visit the charming villages of Teror and Tejeda, finishing with a scenic hike to the natural monument and island symbol: Roque Nublo.
📅 August 18: Time to explore the north of the island, starting with Gran Canaria’s first capital, Gáldar, and its Cueva Pintada Museum—home to the island’s only preserved aboriginal cave paintings. We’ll then continue with a guided tour and tasting at the only coffee plantation in Europe, located in the village of Agaete. The day will end with a stunning sunset in the quaint fishing village of Puerto de las Nieves.
