We’ll start from Bari, the lively port city that will welcome us into the heart of Puglia, where we’ll spend our first night. The following day, we’ll move to discover three of the region’s most famous gems: Polignano a Mare, Alberobello, and Ostuni. Here, immersed in the culture and history of Salento, we’ll spend a night before heading even further south towards Lecce, the “Florence of the South,” which will be our base for the remaining three nights. From here, we’ll explore charming villages and beaches, including Otranto, Gallipoli, Mulino d’Acqua Beach, and Santa Maria di Leuca, letting ourselves be enchanted by the timeless beauty of the Salento coast.

And here we are at the third edition of “My Friend In On Tour”! 🥰 This time, I’ve prepared for you a tour to discover my wonderful region of origin, to be experienced like a true “local”!

Are you ready for an unforgettable adventure in the heart of the beautiful Puglia? Join us on a last-minute trip that will take you to discover the hidden treasures of Italy’s “heel of the boot”!

Highlights of our tour:

  1.  Cultural Experience in Bari: We will set off to explore Bari, a city brimming with history, culture, and culinary delights. We’ll explore its charming alleys, taste local delicacies like the famous orecchiette, and visit the magnificent Basilica of San Nicola.
  2.  Polignano, Alberobello, and Ostuni:We will have the opportunity to visit three jewels of Puglia: Polignano a Mare, with its fascinating sea caves; Alberobello, famous for its unique trulli; and Ostuni, the “White City,” with its winding streets and breathtaking panoramic views.
  3. Discovering Salento from Lecce: Lecce will welcome us with its baroque beauty, and from here we will explore the heart of Salento. We’ll visit medieval villages like Otranto and Gallipoli, admire the breathtaking coast of Santa Maria di Leuca, and relax on pristine beaches like the Spiaggia del Mulino d’Acqua.
  4. Guided by a Local Friend: What could be better than exploring and getting to know a place with a local? I’ll be delighted to accompany you in discovering one of the most beautiful regions in the world (according to National Geographic, which in 2023, and for two consecutive years, awarded it the title of: Best Value Travel Destination In The World). I’ll lead you through the hidden treasures and lesser-known gems of Puglia, unveiling the secrets of the culture, tradition, and local cuisine.
  5. Authentic and Stress-Free Experience: With a trip organized by a local expert, you won’t have to worry about a thing. From car rental to accommodation in traditional B&Bs and vacation homes, everything will be taken care of in detail to ensure you a stress-free and authentically rich experience.

Detailed Itinerary*

  • May 16-17: Arrival in Bari, exploration of the city, and overnight stay in a private apartment.
  • May 17-18: Visit to the 3 Pugliese pearls: Polignano, Alberobello, and Ostuni. Overnight stay in the latter in a residence with a view and panoramic terrace.
  • May 18-21: Arrival and accommodation in Lecce. From here, we will explore a different town and beach each day, among the most beautiful in Salento (the choice will be made at the time depending on weather conditions).

What’s Included:

  • Travel Arrangements: Assistance with finding your flights to Bari (with a return from Brindisi if needed), complete itinerary planning, handling unforeseen events… think about it: embarking on a DIY journey in Puglia, but with the convenience of having everything organized for you! Your only task will be to pack your bags (but I’ll also help you with the selection, so don’t worry 🥰);
  • Cozy and Authentic Accommodations: With shared rooms;
  • Car Rental: Including insurance, fuel, and any parking fees.

  • Round-Trip Flights to and from Bari/Brindisi;
  • Meals not mentioned;
  • Any Extras (personal purchases, additional excursions, entries to any museums, etc.) not named in the “what’s included” section.

🌍 Enchanting Itinerary: From Bari to Lecce, we’ll cross charming towns, breathtaking beaches, and picture-perfect landscapes. It will be a roaming experience where we change accommodation three times, fully immersing ourselves in the unique culture and atmosphere of Puglia.

🚗 Included Services: The trip price includes car rental, so you won’t have to worry about the chaotic city traffic. We’ll have cars with fuel and guaranteed parking at our disposal. We’ll stay in cozy B&Bs or typical vacation homes in the area, offering you an unparalleled authentic experience. And I will always be there to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Travelling for Gran Canaria and choosing My Friend In was one of the best decisions for our holidays . A wonderful experience thanks to the knowledge and organization of My friend in which led us to discover wonderful places such as Anfi del Mar, the Maspalomas Dunes, Mogan, Las Palmas and many others.
